When snow and ice pile up, these Titan Chain tire chains grip hard so you can keep moving. The 5.5 mm (0.216") square links dig deep into snow and ice for solid traction, while the diamond pattern keeps steady contact with the road so you don’t get that choppy ride common with ladder-style chains. It’s the setup that lets you climb steep driveways or get down icy slopes without spinning out.
Ordinary ladder chains can thump and slip as you drive. The diamond pattern here puts chain links in constant contact with the surface, smoothing the ride and spreading traction evenly as you accelerate, brake, or corner. It’s a small difference that makes a big impact on how steady and confident your drive feels in winter weather.
You don’t need to crawl under the vehicle or drive over the chains to mount these. Color-coded hooks and clips guide you through connecting them, and the assisted tensioning system tightens them down with a quick tug. The tensioners pull the chains snug around your tires and stay put—no extra rubber adjusters or lost parts to worry about.

Winter roads can chew through cheap steel, but these chains are built from manganese-nickel alloy for strength and corrosion resistance. The thicker-than-usual links handle repeated freeze-thaw cycles, salt, and gravel without wearing out fast. That means they’re ready for plow duty, daily mountain drives, or just having a dependable set when storms hit.
Each pair comes with a reusable hard-sided bag, about 14" × 14" × 5", making it easy to pack the chains away after use. The case keeps the links contained, dry, and protected so you can stash them behind a seat until the next time snow threatens to slow you down.

In 2016, we purchased our first pair of chains, Item# TC2526. We are now purchasing our second pair. These are durable, easy to put on, off and gets us up and down our 400 foot steep driveway. Ice or snow won't stop these babies! Excellent quality and highly recommend!
Got my chains today and immediately put them on. Way easier than my other chains. It probably took about 10min. to do both tires but that's not bad for the first time. After backing up and pulling foreword a few feet it was easy to retighten and they were nice and snug. I was impressed with the carrying case it just completed the set. Very pleased, heading for the Idaho mountains in a few weeks and if it's anything like last year these chains will get a good workout. Thanks for a great product.
On-line shopping can be problematic if you live in Canada. The first web company I tried no longer ships to Canada. I phoned them and was told that they found it to be a hassle for them. Not so with ETRAILER. They took my business and I had my 2 pair of snow chains 4 days after ordering. I don't get that level of service from Canadian stores!
The chains themselves are better than I expected. They are solid and appear very well made and come with spare links. If I ever have to put them on my F-350 (I live in Victoria BC), I'll update this review.
Of course, I'm judging the product before using the product (no snow yet), BUT the one thing I wanted to use was the instructions. No useable instructions were included. Only two labels on the container (which was nice) with totally blank backs. One had a collection of micro pictures of tires that magically had chains mounted in seeming stop motion (the method of which was too small to interpret). If only there were adequate, readable instructions on a plastic sheet large and strong enough to keep my knees dry while mounting the chains. Perhaps I will edit this review once I have "experienced" the magic of tire chains.
I was getting stuck in snow and ice on my own driveway trying to plow myself out. My driveway is about 400 ft long and sits higher than the ground on each side. Contacted etrailer and spoke with Ashley. She was very helpful. I did not know the exact size of my tires, they are not off road tires, so we decided on a set of Titan TC2221 chains for the stock size tire. Turned out that I have taller tires and the Titan chains did not fit. Contacted etrailer again and spoke with Jesse. We got the right size chains for the truck and Jesse sent me a prepaid return label to send back incorrect chains. I spoke with Jesse on a Tuesday and the new chains were delivered by Thursday of the same week. Great service! The new chains are Titan TC2526. They fit great! I did have to jack up the tires so I could get the chain to center properly. They made a 100% difference in my ability to plow my driveway and not get stuck or to slide off to the side of the driveway into the ditch. Thanks again to etrailer and their staff!! No more slip sliding around…
My chains arrived yesterday. After unpacking them, I was impressed by the good looking and functional case they come in. I viewed the instruction video twice, and feel confident that my first real use will be easy. I am heading over the mountains of British Columbia this upcoming weekend, and have every expectation for our typical high-altitude winter conditions. I feel sure that my trusty F-450's slightly worn dually's drive tires will take almost anything in stride . . . (at 30 MPH ;-)
Correct fit as ordered for oversized SUV wheels & tires for 1991 Bronco. Appreciate the color coding for easy installation.
These chains are made well and are good quality. However, my tire size must be at the small side of the range of tires that the chains fit. The tensioner does not tighten the chains enough. This leaves the chains somewhat loose. As I was worried that they might contact the fender lip, I purchased a set of chain tensioners made for cable chains to tighten them.
The Titan chains worked great the two times I needed them. The case that they came in is stout and holds the chains even after use. Some original packaging seems to only work once, and requires origami like skills to put back in the case, not with this case. The chains fit snugly and provide very good traction, I expect they will last for years. Thanks for such a great product. Mac

Well, it has been a year and still only used them twice. I beleave it is time for a trip to the snow.
Easy to attach! Such an improvement over the last set of tire chains!
Erin, the representative, was thorough with checking to ensure the ordered chains would definitely fit our rig and conveyed her enthusiasm and belief in the product.
Would recommend this company and their products to all!
The video was most helpful!

Terrific- we have total confidence driving on ice- packed mountainous roads. We carry them at all times.
I finally had the chance to use the chains this weekend. I appreciated how easy to put them on.
I did not like however, after a few miles (sorry, I did not note the exact mileage) of traveling at 30 mph, I heard a clanking. One of the links had broken. I had to use one of the extra links and hook it to another chain link.
Fixed, I head back on the road, a few miles later I hear another clanking - this time on the other side of my truck. There were two links that had broken off, and the excess chains were hitting the wheel well.
Again, I did my best at securing the loose chains down and drove on. Luckily it was less than a mile when chain controls dropped.
I had a chance to look at the chains and found there were a total of four areas where the links broke. I’ve attached pictures. It appears that the breakage is occurring at the ring (that connects the chains together) that lies on the tread of the tire and is in contact with the road.
So this is disappointing. I don’t suppose there is still a warranty? Or perhaps you can suggest a way to fix this set of chains? Otherwise, they’re useless to me as they are broken and I can’t use them again and ... dang it, I need to do more research and get another set.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The good: They are easy to put on. The price is cheap. Even if they bail you out one time it will be cheaper than calling a tow truck. The carrying case is nice so they store in the vehicle well.
The bad: They are built to a price point. I bought 2 sets, so for 4 tires. I used them the first time this week. They worked and paid for themselves, but 2 of the chains had issues that required repair till I can use them again. I don't think I'd drive 30mph on these, I'd be nervous they might come apart. They were hard to tension to the point they felt tight. One of the loops that hold the chain to the cable bent open, releasing the chain. If I was actually traveling with the chains placed the chain slapping around would likely do some damage. I was just trying to get up a 20 foot snowy hill with a trailer attached. To get the chains off, once they are unclasp and on the ground, you have to drive off of them. This maybe user error, but if you drive over the part where the cable clasp is, it bends closed so they can't be installed again. I'm surprised it bent driving over it in the snow but I know for next time to push that part out of the way to make sure it doesn't get bent again. The issue, if I hadn't noticed the next time I needed to use them I wouldn't of had tools to bend it back and would have been toast. The other hook, I still haven't decided how to bend it back. I worry if I heat it, it will be weaker than the first time but I'm sure I will be able to fix it.
So for an emergency chain that you think or are hoping you will never need, these are great! If you think you might use your chains regularly or need to actually drive longer distances or faster on them, I'd recommend buying something that will likely be twice as expensive. The expensive ones look about the same, but I'd guess they would be built a little more sturdy.
These chains seemed to make a big difference on my Nissan Xterra (Off-Road version). Even with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires but no chains, I would slip and slide in several inches of snow especially if the road was sloped or slanted. I practiced installing the chains in my driveway first and then tried in actual conditions - snowy forest road. In both instances, I had the chains installed in 8 minutes. With the chains installed on my rear wheels (as recommended by Nissan), I was able to drive out of 10 inches of sugary/sand-like snow from a complete stop. I plan to test them further just to make sure that I wasn't having a "lucky" day. However, they seemed to make my Xterra feel more "sure-footed" than ever before.
I plan to only use them occasionally on forest roads near our property but the build quality appears to be good/durable for an imported product.
One note, I opted for this chain even though Nissan recommends a Class S Chain (ex: TC2326) for the Xterra. I don't advocate going against your Nissan manual but I had plenty of available space for this slightly larger diameter chain.

12/25/15 - Just a quick update on these chains. I used them this weekend in order to remember how to install them and to test them in some deeper snow. I installed them in just a few minutes like before and then tested them in 14-15 of fresh powdery snow. My family and I were amazed at how well they performed. They even worked on a 5° forest road without any slipping. At the top of the road, we looked back and could see where our skid plates and rear differential had carved through the snow because of the snows depth at least 14. Without the chains and being a stock Xterra, I think that we would have been digging ourselves out from being high-centered. As mentioned in my original post, our primary use is just to get us to our property if our access road has not been plowed. These chains will definitely provide the confidence that we can get there.
Installed on BFG All Terrain KO2 265/70R17 on 2014 Toyota Tacoma.
Fits as advertised. Will update when I get to use them for more than a test fit.
Horrible broke on first use
Pretty simple installation which is why I chose these chains. Had them both on in under 20 minutes...with the help of my dogs of course! Nice having the chain tightener already attached. They come in a nice case and go back into it very easy. Hoping to get to use these this season. That will be the true test.
Very good service, excellent help from the the associates. First time ordering from this company and a very good experience. Thank you Linwood Mitchell. Montville, Me.

This is awesome to hear! I am glad your first experience was great and I hope you come back if you need anything else. Have you had to use the chains yet or are they more of a "just in case" addition?
I just received these the other day and tried one on before we head over a couple of passes for our Christmas venture. It fit like a charm on my 2009 Yukon XL 1500 with 265/70R17 tires. It took about 5 minutes to put one on in nice weather with no snow. If I need to change my review after using them I'll do so. For now, I am completely satisfied.
very good product, easy to put on,have a ford f150 4 by 4 have them on all 4 pretty much go thru anything.

works great
I have no previous experience with vehicle tire chains. I ordered and received these Titan chains from etrailer in a very timely manner. The only reason for my 4 of 5 stars is that I have yet to use them. I took pictures after installing on a rear tire of my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. LT 265/70-17. These Titan chains seem to fit very well. Etrailer's installation video helped make my 1st attempt easy and successful. Thank you etrailer!
First of all, thanks for your follow up request. Our trip through the Rockies was cut short and we didn’t use them so we can’t yet rate them in actual use. I can attest that their design for installation is great. Easiest snow chain installation I’ve ever experienced. [you do test them before actually stuck in the snow don’t you?]
That said, I can rate my experience dealing with Etrailer as most satisfying. Kudos to them for hiring excellent staff.
Great service, tracking, and follow up. Chains showed up a day early too. I ordered the Diamond chains for 265/70R17 KO'2 tires. Fit good, easy to install. Note in image that I put my tires up on blocks to install. This works quite nicely, especially with the edge lugs on the tires to get things lined up and properly fit. Much easier, cleaner, and warmer to fit chains in the garage or driveway before crawling around on ice, snow, and slush with cold hands etc...
Titan chains are some of the best chains I’ve used. The diamond chains are really easy to install and the diamond pattern makes the ride a little smoother compared to ladder style chains. I had a pair for my Ram 1500 for about a year and decided to get another pair for my wife’s Grand Cherokee, but Etrailer doesn’t list a pair of the diamond chains confirmed to fit the 265/60/R18 tire. I called Titan chain and they gave me the model number and the TC2526 fits perfectly. Not sure why Etrailer says it doesn’t.
Easy to install. Worked great on our 2022 Nexus motorhome to get up a 2000 foot ice covered driveway.
These chains are Awesome in every way! I live at 7500' on a mesa in W.new mexico, winter is get to town in the morning early while the roads are still frozen. . . otherwise its mud\snow\rock\ice, in a steady uphill climb. . . These chains go on so fast, (like 5min for a set). I use them on a 2001 AWD\4WD Expedition... FRONT end only and while I get some rear end sliding, the fronts just never break loose at all
